I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane
Peace. It was hard to imagine it, but sitting here on the rooftop in the middle of a nice warm weekend day, Jace felt completely at peace. He hadn’t felt this relaxed in a long time. Classes had just started again and he was busy with homework. He frowned a little at his truth of his thoughts, remembering he had an essay due in three days.
But for now, he was content to stay here and admire the school. Of course, it wouldn’t be long before he ran off with a crazy and wild thought, probably collecting Damon along the way. He honestly couldn’t remember a time where he didn’t feel that draw, that desire to run a little farther, do something a little crazier. The attitude had at first started as a defense mechanism, anything to get out of his parents’ alcoholic hands. The crazier he was, the more attention they had paid to him rather than to Logan. Then, their Uncle had saved them. Even here with their mother’s father, he couldn’t help but worry that the man was judging them. So that desire to run had led him to the spy world, the only world he every really felt like he belonged.
But now, he was sitting here on the rooftop, knowing it was prohibited and not caring. He’d known the way to get here since eighth grade. He was leaning against an air-conditioning unit, out of sight from the grounds below. Of course, a camera had him at an angle, just as another would if he took to the other side. But, this was Trinity and he wasn’t doing anything that meant trouble, unless he was caught. Logan enjoyed the ‘freedom’. Cole loved the unspoken challenge. He watched as students walked about below him. For a moment, the peace that had filled him stayed. And then he got an idea. He studied the angles, saw the water fountain below, and smiled. He stood up, ready to exact his plan. But then he paused and pulled out his phone. He sent a quick text to a contact listed as Panther. It read: Bro, get up here. And bring some buckets of water.
Cole smiled. Trinity Academy had just re-opened. Time for some Damon and Cole antics. His plan was wonderfully perfect and bound to be talked about for some time. He looked at the kids below and snatched up his backpack. He rifled through it for some time, before finding what it was he was looking for. A large bottle of food color, leftover from some long ago chemistry class. They’d had to make it themselves, and Cole had made an exceptionally strong brew. Added to water, the blue color would stick to hair for at least two days. To lessen the mean side-effects of the prank he was planning, he hoped Damon would bring enough water.
Ooc: Eh, it’s a little weird, but good. I thought we could kick off the thread and year with a bang.

Damon was lounging around in the dorm room. He had nothing to do. he had three big Homework assignments do in a couple of days. Yep. He had nothing to do. He flopped down on his sofa. It wasn't often that he found himself lounging around like this, and it certainly couldn't be good. Then his phone vibrated. He seized it up like it was a saving angel from heaven and quickly read the message.
The grin slowly spread across his face. This was perfect! Cole must be psychic or something. He leapt of the couch, feeling suddenly vibrant, but what was it Cole had wanted him to bring? Her whirled around and grabbed his phone again.
His raised his eyebrows? Buckets of water? What in the CIA’s behind could he planning, and how the freak was he supposed to get that water? Ah well…he’d figure it out…
Fifteen minutes later he was making his way to the roof, trying not to get drenched in the process. He’d found a couple buckets in his room, and the rest had come from the kitchen which is also where he’d gotten the water. The kitchen had been mostly empty, except for one of the cook’s, buit he was totally cool. He accepted Damon’s story that he needed all the water for a science experiment with a grunt and wave on his hand.
That had been the easy part, the hard part had been trying to smuggle five huge buckets of water—two on each arm and one in his mouth—passed every random passerby without getting it out all over his clothing. The fifth time he had to duck behind a corner to avoid some random 7th grader who had decided to push their curfew but couldn't stop giggling and looking nervously over their shoulders to save their life, he was pretty sure he was going to shoot someone.
He finally made it to the top and pushed the door open, and almost lost is balance in the process. He moved to the nearest elevated flat surface and set the bucket down, releasing his mouth.
“Sorry, it took me so long,” he heaved, "the teacher’s declared a 'lets randomly walk up and down the halls and pretend we actually have a reason even they we don’t because we never do,' party.” He attempted to grin, but he was still pretty winded.
“So what did you need all this water for? And don’t tell me you just told me to bring them for kicks or I will seriously murder you.”

I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane
Awesome. Cole’s grin was near-about 300 kilowatts in brightness. He kept scurrying back and forth between the edge of the building and the air-conditioning unit. His end was already ready. He had the food coloring. All was up to Damon to bring the rest of the supplies. Cole realized he probably should have at least been more specific, maybe even gone and help him get the water up here, but he had faith in Dame. He’d be able to get some buckets up here. Cole just had a horrible time with patience. He was pacing as Damon appeared. Cole laughed at his words, taking the bucket he’d just released from his mouth. ”Dude, they must have radar. They only ever do that when we’re up to somethin’.” It was true. Cole couldn’t remember a time that they hadn’t had to duck teachers to perform a stunt they’d had ready in advance for weeks. The impromptu ones like this normally had teachers involved somewhere too. He wondered if maybe it was some type of test, but he was already moving on. Cole smiled at Damon’s words. ”Sorry, dude. It was just a test. Surprise?” He may be an enormous teaser, but Cole’s face could be impassive if he wanted it to be. Like now. Waiting about thirty more seconds, he finally split into a smile. ”Nah, I’m kiddin’. See them girls down there? Whaddya bet they’d hate havin’ to get blue food colorin’ out of their hair tonight?” He held up the vial. Smiling widely, he emptied one droplet into each bucket. The water turned a nice blue immediately. Cole nodded. Perfect. It wasn’t too harsh that it would stain forever, but just enough the people below would know immediately that it wasn’t just plain water. He looked up at Damon, smiling broadly.
Ooc: rushed and I have a headache. ;P But I like it nonetheless.

Damon, who was still celebrating the liberation of his talking muscles—as he didn’t usually go that long without speaking—said. “No kidding, hey, do ever think how fun it would be to pull stuff like this at a normal school?” He thought about how easy it would be to evade teachers, piss of the girls, even mess with jocks. He grimaced, “Not fun at all, eh, way to freaking easy.” He slid the buckets off his arms, and then started flexing them. He didn’t want to admit that it had been difficult, though his arms were just a bit sore and he was trying to relieve said soreness without Cole noticing. Damon shot him a look, “I would hurl one of these at your face if I hadn’t used to much freaking effort in to get them up her in the first place.” He knew Cole was just messing with him, but that didn’t stop him from looking for something suitable to throw at him in the water’s place. He stopped abruptly when Cole explained the plan, the mischievous smile taking its place. Not all, but some of the girls here were so caught up in the sexy spy chicks that Hollywood was always putting out that the idea of blue messing up their perfectly tailored hair…was priceless. He crossed back over to where Cole and the water was in an instant, an almost hungry look spreading across his features as he gazed at the blue water. “Only one drop?” he shook his head, “You’re too nice, Cole.” But as he remembered what he’d seen some of the girls do in combat class, he added, “Or you just have a sense of self-preservation, unlike me.” He grinned as he looked over the edge. “Do you think Calista’s down there?” He asked as he peered down at the girls. It was hard to tell from this angle, and there were quite a few girls who looked like her. Ever since their—assignment—he’d become a little bit more aware of her, especially when it came to these little—pranks.

I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane
Looking over the edge, trying to figure out how to get the most splash with one throw, Cole nodded in response to Damon’s school comment. ”Exactly. We’d ‘ave already blown up a normal school.” Of course, the idea to set off a little stink bomb in the girls’ dorm had crossed his mind. The problem was he was no chemist and had no idea how to build one. He figured it was kinda of cheating to go out and buy one. However, that was part of the fun. A normal school would be so boring. Cole raised in arm in an attempt to block whatever Damon was searching to throw at him as he laughed. Damon was just as much fun to tease as anybody else, Damon just knew how to get people back. Which almost made pulling big jokes on him even more satisfying. Almost. He normally got a bit pissed, which meant Cole would end up pulling stunts by his self for a day. Not fun at all. ”Of course I have better self-preservation skills, look at this face. Think I’m gonna risk messin’ it up? I mean, ya don’t have much to lose.”. Cole smirked at his friend and grabbed a bucket, walking closer to the edge. His smile widened at Damon’s question. Calista? Damon had mentioned her a bit more since their assignment and Cole didn’t blame him. If he’d gotten to work with her like that, he would totally be gloating. Cole studied the crowd a bit closer, but at this angle, everyone’s head looked the same. There were a few dark-haired girls down there that could be her. ”No idea. Wanna find out?” He tipped the bucket and the water flew down. Instantly, a chorus of shrill screams sounded. He roared with laughter, reaching to grab another bucket. Man, this year was going to be awesome.
OOC: Lol, no idea. We should ask the other girls to join in, maybe.

Damon looked over at him, a line forming between his eyebrows. “Haha,” he said with a sarcastic edge, he moved away from Cole but called over his shoulder. “When all the British chicks get here we’ll see who they dig more now won’t we?” Actually, it would probably be Cole. Damon wasn’t bad looking, he thought, but girls tended to have troubled with guy who looked about fourteen and tended to treat him like a cute little puppy instead of a hot sexy man. Cole, however, did not have that problem. Damon usually managed to get around that little obstacle though, so there were no hard feelings between him and the guy who he swore some girls drooled over simply because of his accent. Most of the time, anyway.
Damon didn’t reply, but a wicked smile lit up his face and he grabbed his own bucket and quickly followed suit. He watched as a few of the girls scattered. Some were quicker than others, darting out of the line of fire; while others…he quickly dumped another bucket. A few had made the mistake of looking up, so this bucket his them square in the face. Damon fell to his knees he was laughing so hard, he couldn’t help it. He still couldn’t tell if Calista was down there, if she was then she’d had the sense to keep her down and get out of the line of fire.
He’d hoped Cole had managed to empty the last of the buckets, because it would probably be too late right now. They’d been seen. He wasn’t sure if the girls could tell who it was from down there, but they probably didn’t need too. And by the look on some of their faces… He looked over at Cole. “Alright, that was great, what’s our next move?” He said quickly and breathlessly, his voice creeping up a few notes at the last few words.

I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane
What better way was there to spend the day than acting like a normal teenager? Or, as close as Cole Sawyer ever got to normal. He did, after all, concoct an evil plan to dye the hair color of half the girls in the school. But he felt like any other senior jock pulling a prank. He was definitely looking forward to graduating, and yet, he still hadn’t that further into the future than that. He knew Logan had, there was nothing the kid didn’t think about, but Cole found himself just pushing that away. Yes, he’d become a spy, and he’d be damn good too. But still, it was hard to imagine. Of course, that was supposed to change once the school semester picked up. Seniors were given more and more ‘projects’ that were to be handled like real missions before graduating. There was no one more excited than he was. He smirked at Damon’s response. He laughed, ”Yeah, we’ll see.”. There was no hiding the fact that most of the girls in school went for the two of them, mainly because they weren’t as serious and foreboding as, say, Logan. So, Cole couldn’t help but feel a little bit of rivalry. Of course, Damon was his only friend that would know it was just friendly. Plenty of the school thought that he thought he was too good for it all, including the teachers. The teachers and students did, however, have to admit he was damn good at whatever he put his mind to. Of course, this wasn’t exactly what the teachers probably had in mind. He couldn’t help but roar with laughter as his bucket was emptied on the unsuspecting heads below. The shrieks and screeches echoed all the way up here. Wiping his face, trying to hide his smile, Cole laughed again. He grabbed the last bucket, haphazardly throwing the blue dye over the siding. He turned, laughing and tilting his head back. Damon was on the ground, and Cole just couldn’t help but laugh louder at that. His words, however, broke the laughing spell, though a wide 100-kilowatt grin remained in place. ”What any good ole’ spy’s suppose’ tah do. Run.” With that, he took off. Slinging open the roof door, he rushed down the stairs, barely managing not to fall flat on his ass. He had no doubt Damon could keep up. He might suck at obstacle courses, but speed wasn’t something the smaller boy lacked. Swinging around a corner, Cole headed towards the nearest classroom. Since it was the weekend, the science lab was empty. Cole had spotted it on his way up here. Their chemistry teacher was notoriously air-headed and had left it unlocked. Cole figured that was as good an invite as anything else. Turning to make sure Damon was still behind him, Cole nodded his head towards the classroom and slipped inside. Ducking under the table farthest from the door, he rested his back against the wall. Chortling, he scooted over to make room for Damon. Just another day at Trinity, he thought with a smirk.
Ooc: Whoot! That was fun!

Damon snorted and rolled his eyes. He now found that he couldn’t wait until those bloody brits got here and he could test this out. Maybe British girls were different and went for the goofball over the buff hot shot. Anything was possible.
But he couldn’t think about that now, he had a job to do. He could hear Cole laughing beside as they finished, and the laughter hadn’t quite subsided before answered his question and took off. It took a moment for this to register in Damon’s head, but with a slightly sloppy take-off he darted after Cole. Of course that would be Cole’s plan, he cursed as he made his way haphazardly down the staircase. You would think having just come up these stairs caring five gallons of water, running down them would be a breeze. But apparently he was having an off day because he almost tripped a couple of times and nearly smacked into the wall after he’d looked over his shoulder. He was just a few feet behind Cole when they reached the bottom of the stairs. Cole had just darted into the classroom and Damon was right behind him when…
When this brunette chick came out of nowhere. Damon skidded to halt and dived around a corner before peering around at her. She was texting while walking and apparently hadn’t noticed him. Her hair wasn’t blue, so she wasn’t one of the girls from outside. One thing he knew about girls though, it could be absolute world war three between them until a guy got one one’s bad side, and then they were suddenly all best friends and would unite in a common goal for revenge. Needless to say she wouldn’t hesitate to turn him if she saw any of their victims. So he had to wait until she had disappeared from view before slipping beside Cole. He closed the door behind him, leaning against the wall against him, breathless. The laughter had faded, but he couldn’t stop grinning as the adrenaline slowly faded away.
“Well,” he said, “That was fun,” He glanced at Cole. It was kind of part of their friend code that they didn’t complement one another unless the situation as truly desperate but Damon felt this deserved recognition. “You’ve got spunk Sawyer I’ll give you that.”
His breathing having returned to normal, he stood up. “So, what’s been going on, I feel like we haven’t really hung out since school started, Senior year sucks doesn’t it?” He was referring to the fact they had barely started school and they’d already had like five major projects. He’d actually had to study the other day, which was as horrific as it sounds.
